The Soft Touch Screen: bendy UI is here…

The Impress brings a richer tactile experience to the touch screen. A concept design by DIS.PLAY, it’s a touchscreen with an additional layer of soft, flexible foam. It takes away the rigidity of a traditional touchscreen and enables a more robust interaction with data presented onscreen. Impress has all the regular features of a touchscreen with the extra parameter of pressure, enabling users to literally squeeze out information and form and mold three dimensional objects. This is an interesting development that takes touch interaction into a much deeper realm. Impress was created with Arduino and Processing -check it out in action >>
